94-Year-Old Builds Pool For Local Children In His Garden To Cure His Loneliness After Wife’s Death.
Keith Davison has no intention of growing old alone.
When the 94-year-old’s wife, Evy passed away from cancer in April 2016, her husband of 66 years couldn’t bear the silence in their home.
Keith told TV news show, Kare 11: “You just can’t imagine what it’s like.
“You cry a lot. That’s just the way it is because she’s not here.”
To fill his house with noise once again, the retired judge decided to install a swimming pool in his backyard in Morris, Minnesota – inviting neighbourhood kids to play and splash around.
The impressive pool measures 16ft (4.9m) by 32ft (9.8m) and even has its own diving board.
Despite having three adult children, Davison has no grandchildren, but from these pictures, he seems to have adopted the whole neighbourhood!
Thankfully, Keith no longer feels alone and instead spends his days watching children lark around in his back garden.
