Halloween brings with it many great traditions, and pumpkin carving is most definitely one of them.
And one person with incredible pumpkin carving talents is vet, Andy Manoloff.
Andy, from the US has showcased his latest work – his beloved Pomeranian dog, Sophie.
Named the ‘dog-o’lantern’, the pumpkin turned out to be almost more realistic than the actual pup when placed side by side.
Andy began the process using pre-made patterns, but soon grew bored, so decided to go completely free hand.
And the end product is astounding!
Check out the step by step process of the carving below as well as some of his other stunning carvings.

He began with a sketch of his dog on the pumpkin.

Next he used an X-acto knife to carve the pieces.

The final result was mesmerising.
