A Taiwanese police squad has just released its newest weapon – and we’re about to die of cuteness overload.
Meet Fushin – the month-old Labrador pup that’s destined to become the meanest dog on the streets of Taiwan.
Fushin is being trained by the New Taipei City Police as a blood detection dog.
His parents, Leader and Yellow, are sniffer dogs for the force’s K9 Unit, and their offspring are about to carry on the family tradition.
Fushin’s siblings are being trained up as drug detection dogs, but Fushin’s been singled out to help catch the hardiest of criminals.
At the moment, Fushin, whose name means ‘lucky star’, can’t even fully open his eyes, but the police force has high hopes for his future.
Fushin’s name means lucky star when translated.
The New Taipei City Police Department uploaded pictures of the pups to the department’s Facebook account.
The captain of K9 Unit Pan Tian-long told the Daily Mail: “Fushin is ambitious and courageous. He is very special.
“After the training, he would assist the police officers to discover, hunt and pursue traces at crime scenes as well as catch suspected criminals.”
But even Captain Pan is having a hard time imagining Fushin as a trained-up police dog.
He told the Mail: “Fushin is especially cute because he is different from all the others, and he is the naughtiest.
“Sometimes, he would fall asleep while eating, and then he would wake up suddenly and carry on eating like nothing happened.
“How could people not love something as cute as that?”
We suspect Fushin’s superpower will be his ability to melt hardened criminals’ hearts with his cuteness.
Take a look at some of Fushin’s most adorable moments.
