Although no one really asked for it, it’s finally coming.

Europe’s first ever underwater restaurant, which will be based in southern Norway, has been designed by company Snøhetta.

It boasts three floors, a 36-foot wide panoramic window and, of course, stunning views of the Norwegian Sea.

On their website, Snøhetta says the project is: “More than an aquarium, the structure will become a part of its marine environment, coming to rest directly on the sea bed five metres below the water’s surface.”

Thankfully the walls will be one-metre thick and strong enough to withstand the water pressure.

It will be able to sit 100 guests, however when vacant, the creation will be used as a marine research centre.

Construction will commence in 2018, with an aim to open in 2019.
