Stock photos are easily recognisable due to their often cheesy activities and awkward poses.
Their attempt at cramming an extensive topic into one photo usually creates an inaccurate representation of that subject.
Scientists took notice of this, and took to twitter to share the #BadStockPhotosOfMyJob – complete with hilarious captions.
Since then, everybody from teachers to astronomers have gotten involved.
